Current Stage: Roadmap Design
TERRITORIAL SCOPE
The territory comprised by the districts of Lo Barnechea, San José de Maipo and part of the Las Condes, La Reina, Peñalolén and La Florida districts. This territory has centers of development differentiated by its administrative limits. This is how Lo Barnechea has concentrated its development on the existing ski centers in the place, San José de Maipo has exploited adventure tourism activities and the rest of the territory grouped in Cordillera Parks, has concentrated its development on activities associated with trekking and hiking among others.
JUSTIFICATION OF THE INITIATIVE
Two tourist vocations have been identified in the region. The first one associated with wine tourism, identifying Santiago as a competitive advantage as the only capital of the “new world of wine” that has an wine valley associated to it, and the second one related to the mountains, identifying different gaps to position it as a tourist icon in the region.
It has been determined that it is essential to work on different issues that could allow the diversification of the tourist offer, the standardization of services, the quality of human resources and the protection and place value of the mountain territory of the Region.
ACTIVITIES
Executive Committee Sessions
They’re in charge of giving strategic guidelines for the development of the program, review and approval of initiatives, as well as proposing and / or taking agreements on corrective actions or measures to achieve the objectives set.
Meetings every 15 days – Duration 1:30hrs.

Board of Directors Sessions
Advisory of a consultative nature for the design and development of the actions that make up the Roadmap. A total of 23 institutions will be summoned, made up of representative actors from the public and private sectors, academic and civil society.
Meetings every 3 months approx. – Duration 2:00hrs.

CORFO Connection and Learning Week
From July 20 to 24, the “Week of connection and learning: Collaboration and networking in times of coronavirus” will be held, which will bring together prominent exhibitors and the participation of companies and professionals in government, productive and academic spheres in the country.

Participatory workshops
4 participatory workshops were held for approximately 90 people, through the MIRO platform, a virtual board for working on ideas and concepts.
